Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting activities of the organization. Responsibilities include accounts receivable and payable, preparing financial reports, and performing month-end close.

What you will do:
Assist with the overall day-to-day accounting operations of the company.
Ensure that Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable are following proper procedures.
Perform month-end close.
Support year-end financial review/audit.
Oversee the preparation and filing of all required financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Maintain and monitor internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
Manage and optimize the company's accounting systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Track fixed assets, add assets once ready and reconcile monthly
Reconciliations.
Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure that expenses are properly categorized.
Create sales tax reports and ensure proper payment.
Ensure sales taxes are being appropriately charged.
Lead Accounting team and serve as backup when needed.
Train new employees within the department on proper procedures.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to enhance business operations.
Create cash flow forecasts.
Follow established company SOP and ISO 9001 Guidelines.
Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
What you will need:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting.
5-10 years of accounting experience.
Sales tax process knowledge.
Experience with accounting software and general ledgers.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Experience in accounts receivable/payable.
Experience with accounting software and general ledgers.
Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Experience with Avalara is a plus.
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
